Nanolab, four different research groups of the University of Salamanca have set up an advanced laboratory, USAL-NANOLAB, to share their human resources, experience and facilities. These groups Nanotechnology Group, Colloids and Interfaces, THz and Solar Cells and the Group of semiconductor devices have been collaborating and have developed different projects in recent years.
The facilities of this advanced laboratory are: clean room of 120m2 and different advanced laboratories of nanoelectronics and nanomaterialization. A part of this laboratory is in sub-level 3 of the I+D+i building and another part is in the Faculty of Sciences and the Faculty of Chemical Sciences.
We can characterize different kinds of new materials such as semiconductors, graphene and 2D materials or topological insulators by determining their structure, and magnetotransport, electric and optical properties.
We can build nanodevices based on new materials as graphene and 2D related materials, topological insulators and III-V semiconductor heterostructures using nanolithography tools of our clean room. We also use other deposition technologies such as Langmuir-Blodgett to prepare thin films of new materials.
We investigate fundamental and applied aspects of quantum nanodevices based on new materials as graphene and 2D related materials, topological insulators and III-V semiconductor heterostructures. Our clean room includes state-of-the art nanolithography…
